In April of 1992 Chuck Chillout introduced Black Moon to the aspiring hip-hop label Nervous Records and were soon signed. Three months later the group recorded their first single "Who Got The Props". At the start of 1993 Black Moon started touring around local venues in New York alongside with Smif-N-Wessun. During most of the year the album Enta Da Stage was in the works and was later released in the fall. Upon its release, it created an immediate and sensational impact among music critics and underground hip-hop patrons. Black Moon continued to gain much notoriety in 1994 vibing off the success of the various singles and E.P.s from Enta Da Stage; the single "Buck 'Em Down" reached #2 on the Billboard singles chart; and the album sold over 200,000 copies. However all was not well within the group and 5 Ft. left during the summer of 1994. By 1995 creative differnces led to Buckshot splitting from Evil Dee and put a close to the chapter of one of the most influencial underground hip-hop acts of the post-old school-funk-loop generation. In 1996 Nervous Records released Diggin In Dah Vaults compiled with various remixes, B-sides, and other rarities. Buckshot continued to make a name for himself in music through his work with Smif-N-Wessun, the formation of Boot Camp Clik, and a release of a solo album in 1999. DJ Evil Dee also gained acclaim as a member of Da Beatminerz production crew and work at New York's premier hip-hop station Hot 97. In 1999 Black Moon came back to reunite and released their second official release on Priority Records titled War Zone and a third album titled Total Eclipse in 2003. However, neither of those albums will be remembered in association with Black Moon; their timeless classic Enta Da Stage has been agreed upon by many to be one of the top hip-hop albums of all time.

Latin Hip Hop group from Los Angeles, California.

Formed in 1989, first as Ralph M and Son when Ralph M hooked up with DJ Muggs, Sen Dog, B-Real , Son Doobie & T-Funk.
The name Funkdooiest came later in 1991 from a song B-Real from Cypress Hill had written called "The Funkdoobiest".
Quote from a Ralph M interview: So one day Muggs and myself were rollin' around in L.A. and I said "yo, we the Funkdoobiest: Ralph M., Sondoobie, Tomahawk Funk." And it's been history since... that name was too dope to just be a song.

Tomahawk Funk aka T-Funk left the group after the second album Brothas Doobie

Notorious 'Christopher George Letore Wallace' B.I.G. (Business Instead of Game) was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY on May 21, 1972. During his life he moved many crowds with his style in Retro Hip Hop. He had quite a few releases, but the two that mainly made it was his LP releases of, Ready To Die, and, Life After Death, which was released after his death. Speaking towards his death, Notorious was shot to death from a driveby down in Los Angeles, CA in March 9, 1997. Again, during his life, he was an honor-roll student, but then he dropped out at the age of 17 and began working for a small-time crack cocaine dealer in Virginia. From there, he used to freestyle as a hobby, and because of that, he was well known for challenges with Tupac in freestyle battles. Pretty soon his demo tape was recieved by a DJ by the name of Mister Cee (Big Daddy Kane), and so Biggie had a nice rising from there, and even still today the stars like Tupac Sakur and of course Notorious B.I.G., still shine down amoung us, and their tracks still high up on the charts.

Lil' Dap and Malachi the Nutcracker first appeared as guests on "I'm The Man" and "Speak Ya Clout" from Gangstarr's "Daily Operation" and "Hard To Earn" LPs. While not being technically the best rappers out there they managed to record an album's worth of decent rhymes to go over DJ Premier's incredible beats on the "Livin' Proof" LP. Some time later they split from the Gangstarr Foundation and continue to release records without Primo's beats with considerably less success.

MC Mell'O' hails from Battersea south London. He is one of the original movers in the HipHop explosion that rocked London in the early 80's.
